Nazan Kabatepe

NAZAN KABATEPE

Nazan Kabatepe, after graduating from American College for Girls, ACG (today's Robert College), completed her undergraduate education in the Department of Archaeology at Ankara University Faculty of Language, History, and Geography, and received a Pedagogy and Education Certificate from the same university.

To contribute to supporting the evolving US-Türkiye relations and to educate her children in the United States, she entered the profession in 1987. From 1987 onwards, she underwent training for two years by IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association, based in the United States. In 1989, her membership was officially recognized, thus becoming a professional consultant, and she continued her work with a limited number of students from home until 1995. The main reason for this was to be with her youngest son when he returned from school until he finished high school, just like she did with her older son. In 1995, she opened an office and started to provide counselling services to more students with the help of her assistants.

She is the first Certified Educational Planner in Türkiye, and in 1997, she received the IECA Educational Planner Authorization Certificate. Her work, carried out in accordance with the conditions set by AICEP, the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners, is audited by the same institution, and her authorization certificate is renewed every five years.
